K.E.Y. PLATFORM 2023 held under the theme of “The Era of Freedom Clusters: Rebranding K-Story” analyzed the global market where uncertainty increased: Although the pandemic waned into an endemic in 2023, the relief was short-lived as the US-China competition for hegemony intensified all the more during the pandemic years, accelerating the disruption of global supply chains, and Russia's invasion of the Ukraine and the ensuing war dealt a devastating blow to the already rapidly collapsing global supply chains.

At Plenary Session 1 on the first day of the conference, top experts in the field of global affairs, including Edwin Feulner, founder of the Heritage Foundation, a leading American think tank, took the stage to touch upon how a new international order had been reinforced by liberalist and authoritarian alliances and what would be a wise response strategy for the Republic of Korea.

Plenary Session 2 on the second day explored Korea’s ideas to navigate the age of upheaval and uncertainty. Together with The Korea Conference, which benchmarked The Israel Conference – the secret behind the growth of world-class Israeli startups – we presented strategies for Korean startups and brands to expand into overseas markets.

While plenary sessions are the essence of the K.E.Y. PLATFORM, penetrating the key agenda required by the times, special sessions can be seen as in-depth courses, broken down into various topics. At the previous K.E.Y. PLATFORM Conference, we had a preview into the technologies expected to lead the future, such as data analytics and mobility, with Korea's leading national research institutes including KISTEP and KISTI. We also invited companies from Sweden, the Netherlands, and other leading European countries to share their visions and ideas.

In addition to this, we organized a session to allow companies seeking new opportunities with world-leading Korean content, particularly Korean beauty products and Korean food, to present their visions, innovative technologies, and business models. We also arranged another session to explore opportunities for AgTech, which is gaining increasing importance due to climate change. K.E.Y. PLATFORM 2023, which started anew with COVID-19 entering an endemic phase, finished successfully, touching the hearts of both the speakers and the audience.
